Bookworms Get Ready

This just in: D.C.’s Northeast Public Library (partially) unveiled its renovated exterior Tuesday.

This is great news for Cap Hill! We’ve lived with a plastic-wrapped beast of a building for nearly a year. (It was so well disguised that I lived on 7th Street for a month before realizing what it was.)

The library hosts excellent book sales, according to Kyle (our literary guidepost & “Mr. I’ve-been-going-there-for -ages”). The book sales — put on hold for renovations — will return Saturday, May 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. For other events, check out their calendar.

  2. Looks great. I just hope that they chose Pella windows for the replacements so that the library will be able to generate the most energy savings possible while also providing the best comfort possible for those patrons who visit this building.
